Learn how to ride a scooter

Step by step guide

Safety First

  • —Always wear your helmet, it's the law
  • —Do not ride on sidewalks
  • —Familiarize yourself with local laws
  • —Always yield to pedestrians

Find and Unlock

  • —Locate a scooter near you on the map
  • —Scan the QR code on the handlebar, or tap a scooter within the app to start the ride

Start Riding

  • —Push the scooter forward to release the kickstand
  • —Stand on the scooter and push off to a minimum speed of 5 km/h
  • —Gently push down the 'GO' button with your right thumb to accelerate

To Brake or Stop

  • —Squeeze the brake lever to slow down or stop
  • —Use the pause feature to temporarily pause the ride
  • —Use the kickstand to securely park it in place

Parking

  • —Put the kickstand down and pull the scooter backward to secure it in place
  • —Always park away from sidewalks, next to a bike rack if available
  • —Do not obstruct the flow of pedestrians, cyclists, or vehicular traffic

Ending Your Ride

  • —Click the 'End ride' button in the app
  • —You'll be prompted to submit a picture of the parked scooter
  • —Submit a picture of the correctly parked scooter to complete your ride

Geo-fence

Our e-scooters will only work within Moncton, Dieppe and Riverview. If you leave the operational area, the throttle disables — you'll need to manually push the scooter back into the geo-fence.
